As per the latest reports, Xiaomi has shared its sales report for the month of June. The report showed by the Chinese phone-maker shows that it achieved a lot of sales in the month of June. The sales show that the situation is very promising for the company as it has overtaken its international rivals.

In the sales report for June, Xiaomi has claimed that it has achieved more sales than its rivals; Apple and Samsung.

The firm revealed that as compared to the month of May 2021, Xiaomi’s sales grew 26% in the month of June 2021. The company revealed that this percentage helped it achieve 17.1% of the total smartphone sales that were sold globally for the month of June.

This information was also communicated by Counterpoint on Thursday, August 5, 2021, which is a data reporting firm.

Apart from Xiaomi’s sales, Counterpoint also provided information around the sales achieved by Apple and Samsung. The company revealed that in the month of June, Apple achieved 14.3% of the total smartphone sales while Samsung achieved 14.3% of the total smartphone sales.

The data also reveals that in the month of June, Xiaomi was only second to Samsung in terms of being the highest maker of smartphones by shipment.

However, the analysts at Counterpoint have shared their views around the sales trend for the company. According to them, the trend for the sales of the Xiaomi smartphones could prove to be a temporary one. This is mainly because the COVID-19 cases haves started re-emerging in several countries and Vietnam is one of them.

As Vietnam is a prominent manufacturing and assembling hub for smartphones, it could have a negative impact on production and sales. There are speculations that this is the reason why Samsung has experienced a disruption in terms of manufacturing smartphones.

This is the reason why Samsung ended up facing a disruption in terms of manufacturing the smartphones in the month of June. If Samsung would not have faced this problem, then Samsung could still be the highest smartphone selling company throughout the globe.

It was during the second-quarter earnings call when Samsung made its stakeholders and investor aware of the disruption from Vietnam. It reported that due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in Vietnam, several lockdowns were placed throughout the country.

As a result of the above, the country had to shut down its manufacturing plants on a temporary basis, causing manufacturing disruption.

Ever since Huawei took the hit from the US Administration’s actions back in 2019, Xiaomi has been profiting from it at a large scale. The company has achieved many sales targets and performed above expectations. Therefore, the company is only going to perform better in the coming months.
